Searching and Filtering Products

1 min read Updated Oct 2026 SwiftGrid

The search field and the five filters above the grid choose which products the grid shows. Filter first when you plan a bulk edit: the cell calculator and the header checkbox work on the products in view.

The filter bar: search field, status, category, stock status, type and tag filters

Type in Search products… to find products by title, description or SKU. The grid updates as you type; press Enter to search at once. A search for a variation’s SKU finds its parent product.

Filters

  • Status: Any status, Published or Draft.
  • Category: one product category. All categories shows every product.
  • Stock status: In stock, Out of stock or On backorder.
  • Type: Simple product, Grouped product, External/Affiliate product or Variable product. Variations lists the variations of every variable product; see Editing Variations.
  • Tag: one product tag.

Filters combine with each other and with the search, so you can list, for example, the draft products in one category.

The line below the search field counts the products shown and the active filters, for example “Showing 19 products · 1 filter active”.

Clear the Search and Filters

Click Reset. The grid shows every product again.

If you have unsaved edits when you change the search or a filter, SwiftGrid asks whether to discard them. Save your edits first to keep them.
