The cell calculator in SwiftGrid raises or lowers prices by a percentage across every product you select, for example every price in one category by 10%. The new prices stay unsaved until you check them and click Save Changes. The calculator is part of SwiftGrid Free, with no product limit.
Change Prices in a Category by a Percentage
- Open SwiftGrid in the WordPress admin menu.
- Choose the category in the category filter. To narrow the list further, add a status, tag, stock status or product type filter, or search by title or SKU.
- Select the products. To select every product in the view, select the checkbox in the header row.
- Click the Regular price cell in one of the selected rows, then click the calculator button in the cell. For sale prices, start from a Sale price cell.
- Choose Add percent and enter the percentage, for example 10. Choose Subtract percent to lower prices.
- Check the Current value and Result for the row you clicked, then click Apply.
- Check the new prices in the grid, then click Save Changes.
Check the Result
Each new price is the current price changed by the percentage, rounded to 2 decimals. Until you save, edited cells are marked and the status bar counts the unsaved edits. Press Ctrl+Z or Cmd+Z to undo the last edit, or click Discard Changes to drop all of them.
After you save, your shop shows the new prices at once, and SwiftGrid records the change for 90 days.
End the New Prices in .99
Keep the products selected and run the calculator a second time with End in .99. The calculator keeps the whole dollars and replaces the cents.
Variable Products
A variable product keeps its prices on its variations. Set the product type filter to Variations, then change the prices using the steps outlined in Bulk Edit WooCommerce Product Variations.
Other Ways to Change Prices by a Percentage
From a spreadsheet: export the current view as CSV, apply the percentage in your spreadsheet, and bring the file back with Import CSV. SwiftGrid matches the columns and shows how many rows are ready before it writes anything.
With your AI assistant: once you connect it with the free WordPress MCP Adapter plugin, your AI assistant can change the regular or sale price of every product that matches a filter, by an amount, a percentage or rounding, up to 1000 products per call.
With AI inside the grid in SwiftGrid Pro: type the change, for example “Raise prices 10%”, and see up to 20 products with their values before and after, then apply it. See Change WooCommerce Products With AI Inside the Grid.
Compared With WooCommerce
On the WooCommerce Products screen, you select products, choose Edit from Bulk actions, and set the regular price to Increase existing price by (fixed amount or %):. Native bulk edit acts on the products on the current page, 20 per page by default. It does not change the prices of variable or grouped products, and it shows no before and after values.
