Privacy Policy

This page explains what purothemes.com and our themes and plugins collect, why, and who else sees it. We collect what we need to sell, deliver and support our software. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Who We Are

Puro is run by Andrew Misplon, Lagos, Portugal. Puro is the controller of the personal data on this page. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].

Your Account

An account holds your username, email address, password and order history. We use it to let you download your purchases, manage your licenses and get support.

Buying a Premium Theme

PayPal processes every payment. You give your payment details to PayPal, not to us, and PayPal handles them under its own privacy statement. We receive your name, email address and the details of your order. We never see your card number.

Ultra Premium and Puro Premium are delivered by FetchApp, which receives your name, email address and order so it can send your download. If you leave the Polestar Premium checkout before you pay, Recapture may send you one email about your cart.

Updates and License Checks

The free versions of Polestar, Ultra and the Puro theme update through WordPress.org and send us nothing.

Premium versions check for updates with purothemes.com. Polestar Premium sends your license key, your site address and the installed version. Polestar Premium uses this to deliver updates and to show the sites your license is active on. Ultra Premium and the Puro theme Premium send your order number, and only after you enter it, to our update service on Google Cloud. The service checks the order with FetchApp and sends the update from Google Cloud Storage. Google Cloud sees your site’s IP address.

SwiftGrid Free sends nothing to us. Its optional AI command box sends requests only to the AI provider you choose, with your own API key.

Support Forum and Contact Form

Forum posts are public. Akismet, a service from Automattic, checks forum posts for spam and sees the post and your IP address. The contact form emails your name, email address and message to us. Cloudflare Turnstile checks the sign-up and contact forms for bots and sees your IP address.

Email

We send order, license, support and account emails through Amazon SES, which receives your email address and the email. The “Notify me” and waitlist forms store your email address and the date you signed up. We use that address only for the email you asked for.

Cookies and Analytics

WordPress sets cookies to keep you signed in. The checkout sets a cookie to remember your cart. Google Analytics 4 sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies to count visits and see which pages people use, in aggregate. Google processes this data under its privacy policy. To opt out, use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. We use no advertising cookies.

The site runs behind Cloudflare, which sees each visitor’s IP address to deliver pages and block attacks, and may set its own security cookies.

How Long We Keep Data

• Accounts, orders and licenses: while your account is open, and as long as tax law requires for order records.
• Contact form messages: as long as we need them to answer you.
• Notify and waitlist addresses: until we send the email you asked for, or until you ask us to delete them.
• Forum posts: until you or we remove them.

Your Rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected]. We answer within 30 days.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date below changes with it.
