Preview and Undo WooCommerce Bulk Edits

2 min read Updated Oct 2026 SwiftGrid

SwiftGrid holds your grid edits until you click Save Changes, so you can check and undo them first. It also records every save, so you can undo a change after it reaches your store.

Check Edits Before You Save

  1. Edit cells in the grid. Edited cells are highlighted, and the status bar shows how many rows are unsaved. Nothing reaches your store yet.
  2. Press Ctrl+Z or Cmd+Z to undo an edit. The grid keeps up to 50 undo steps and supports redo.
  3. Click Discard Changes to drop every unsaved edit.
  4. Click Save Changes, or press Ctrl+S or Cmd+S.

If another user changed a product after you loaded it, that row fails with a message to reload, and your edit does not overwrite theirs.

Undo a Change After You Save

SwiftGrid records each grid save, CSV import, command from AI inside the grid and edit from your AI assistant as one change, with every product’s value before and after. It keeps each change for 90 days. History does not include scheduled edits or variation generation.

In SwiftGrid Free, your AI assistant can look up a recorded change and undo it, once you connect it with the free WordPress MCP Adapter plugin.

In SwiftGrid Pro, you roll a change back yourself from History:

  1. Click N changes recorded in the status bar to open History. History lists the newest 50 changes.
  2. Expand a change to see each product’s value before and after.
  3. Click Roll back. SwiftGrid restores the whole change. A field edited since the change is left alone, and SwiftGrid names it.

Preview an AI Command

In SwiftGrid Pro, AI inside the grid shows a preview before a command applies: how many products change, up to 20 rows before and after, and the products it skips and why. After you apply the command, Undo reverts it until you close the panel. See Change WooCommerce Products With AI Inside the Grid.

In SwiftGrid Pro, edits from your AI assistant wait for a store manager’s approval by default, and an unanswered request expires after 7 days. To set approval for commands from AI inside the grid too, see Approving AI and Agent Edits.

Compared With WooCommerce

The bulk edit on the WooCommerce Products screen applies as soon as you click Update. It shows no before and after values and has no undo. WooCommerce does not keep earlier prices, so you reverse a mistake by entering the old values again or by restoring a backup.
