Open a Menu Item in a New Tab

To open a menu item in a new tab, follow these steps:

Using Appearance: Menus

1. Navigate to your WordPress admin panel.
2. Go to the AppearanceMenus section.
3. At the top right corner of the screen, click on the tab named Screen Options.
4. In the dropdown panel, enable the checkbox labeled Link Target.
5. Select the menu you wish to edit from the Select a menu to edit dropdown list and click the Select button.
6. Click on the menu item you want to open in a new tab.
7. Enable the checkbox labeled Open link in a new tab.
8. Click the Save Menu button to apply your changes.

Using Appearance: Customize: Menus

1. Navigate to your WordPress admin panel.
2. Go to AppearanceCustomize.
3. In the Customizer, go to the Menus section.
4. At the top of the Customizer, click the Gear icon to Show advanced menu properties.
5. Enable the checkbox labeled Link Target.
6. Select the menu you wish to edit.
7. Click on the menu item you want to open in a new tab.
8. Enable the checkbox labeled Open link in a new tab.
9. Click the Publish button to apply your changes.
