Use a child theme to change Polestar theme files. Edits made to the parent theme at AppearanceTheme File Editor are lost when the theme updates. To build your own, see Creating a Child Theme.
Starter
A basic child theme with no changes yet. It loads its own style.css and has a functions.php file ready for your code.
- Download the Polestar starter child theme.
- Go to AppearanceThemes and click Add Theme, then Upload Theme.
- Choose the ZIP file and click Install Now.
- Click Activate.
