Blog settings control the blog page, archives and single posts. Open them at AppearanceCustomizeTheme SettingsBlog.
Blog Page Title
The heading at the top of the page that lists your posts. The default is Blog. Leave it empty to hide the heading. The Page Title setting for the Blog Page in Page Template Settings must also be on. To choose the posts page, go to SettingsReading.
Blog Archive Layout
The layout of the blog page and archive pages. The default is Blog.
- Blog: a standard layout with the featured image above the post content.
- Masonry: a grid of posts without uniform row heights.
- Left Aligned Medium: a medium featured image to the left of the post content.
- Left Aligned Thumbnail: a small featured image to the left of the post content.
Archive Featured Image
Shows each post’s featured image on the blog page and on archive pages. The default is on.
Archive Post Content
Choose Full Post Content or Post Excerpt. The default is Full Post Content. Choose Full Post Content to use the “more” tag, which splits a post at the point you choose. Post Excerpt shows the manual excerpt of a post. If a post has no excerpt, WordPress makes one.
Read More Text
The text of the button that links to the full post. The default is Continue reading. It appears where you use the “more” tag. It also appears under excerpts when Post Excerpt Read More Link is on.
Post Excerpt Length
The number of words in an excerpt. The default is 55. Ultra cuts longer excerpts, including manual ones, to this length and adds an ellipsis.
Post Excerpt Read More Link
Shows the Read More Text button below the excerpt. The default is off. It applies only when Archive Post Content is Post Excerpt.
Post Featured Image
Shows the featured image at the top of a single post. The default is on.
Post Date
Shows the publish date. The default is on. It appears below the post title on the blog page and archives. On a single post it appears in the bar under the title.
Post Author
Shows the author name in the same place as the date. The default is on.
Post Comment Count
Shows the comment count in the same place as the date. The default is on. It shows only when comments are open on the post.
Post Categories
Shows the post categories below the content on single posts. The default is on.
Post Tags
Shows the post tags below the content on single posts. The default is on.
Post Author Box
Shows the author name, profile photo and biography below a single post. The default is off.
Related Posts
Shows related posts below a single post. The default is off. Ultra uses YARPP or Jetpack Related Posts when they are active. Otherwise it shows up to 3 posts from the first category of the post, under the heading You May Also Like. A post with no category shows nothing.
Edit Link
Shows an Edit link in the footer of posts and pages. The default is on. Only logged-in users who can edit the content see it.
