Page Settings

The Page settings box controls the layout of one page or post: sidebar, width, header, title and footer. It offers more options than the page templates. You find it in the right column of the edit screen.

Every setting starts on its default. A new page shows the top bar, header, title, footer widgets and both margins.

Settings

Page Layout

Sets the width and the sidebar. Default: Default.

• Default: content and sidebar, at the site width.
• No Sidebar: content only, at the site width.
• Full Width: content only, across the whole browser window.
• Full Width, With Sidebar: content and sidebar, across the whole browser window.

The sidebar appears only when the Sidebar widget area has widgets.

Top Bar

Shows the top bar on this page. Default: on. The top bar must also be on in Appearance→Customize→Theme Settings→Header.

Header

Shows the header on this page. Default: on. The header must also be on in Appearance→Customize→Theme Settings→Header.

Header Bottom Margin

Shows the space below the header. Default: on. Turn it off to put the first row of content against the header.

Page Title

Shows the page title. Default: on. The breadcrumb trail sits with the title, so it hides too. See Hide the Page Title.

Footer Top Margin

Shows the space above the footer. Default: on. Turn it off to put the last row of content against the footer.

Footer Widgets

Shows the footer widget area on this page. Default: on.
