Are there any instructions as to how to replicate the blog page, rather than the home page?
I have followed the instructions on https://purothemes.com/documentation/polestar-wordpress-theme/polestar-demo-home-page/ and so far have the page set up with the post slider and exerts of the posts. However, i have run in to the following problems:
1) I cannot get a thumbnail of the post image alongside the snippets of the posts
2) I cannot put a sidebar on the page without it being on every other page.Any thoughts.

Thanks for reaching out.
The posts/blog page is assigned from Settings > Reading. Widget Options is a great plugin to control the sidebar with https://purothemes.com/documentation/general-wordpress/manage-widget-visibility/. You can use the Widget Options plugin to set display conditions for each widget in the sidebar.
To display an image per post, a featured image must be added to each post. https://purothemes.com/documentation/general-wordpress/featured-images/

Thank you. I don’t have an issue with the featured image on the post pages its self but rather on the parent page. Effectively the summary sections below the post slider. On mind all I can see is three post summaries but only the text elements. Any idea how i get the pictures to show as well?
Have you perhaps disabled the featured image on the archive page?
