Whenever we try to add a featured image to a blog post(so that way the image shows up in link previews), it also adds a giant version of the picture to the blog post above the rest of the blog. Is there any way to assign a featured image that will show up in link previews on social media sites, but that doesn’t add a picture to the post? Thanks in advance!

You can disable the post featured image from Customize > Theme Settings > Blog.
