Hi,
Apologies if this is already answered.
Instead of just showing the number of comments, is there a way to show the actual article’s comments under the article excerpt in a blog?

Thanks for posting. Unfortunately, this isn’t possible from within Ultra. It might be with a plugin but I’ve never seen a WordPress theme display comments in this way. If you’d like to split your posts and force users to continue reading on the single post page, please, use the more quicktag: https://en.support.wordpress.com/more-tag/.
You can also set the post archive content to excerpt if you want that automated: https://purothemes.com/documentation/ultra-theme/customizer/theme-settings/blog/#heading-archive-post-content
