How to add link in footer

I need to be able to add a link to the Privacy Policy to the footer, so that appears on every page, how do I do this? I have tried to put it into a custom HTML widget, but it keeps telling me that there are error, but not what the error is.

Hi Kim

We have a theme called Puro, are you definitely using that theme or are you using Ultra or Polestar?

At Customize > Theme Settings > Footer > Copyright Text, you could insert your link there using HTML. Your link would look something like:

<a href="https://yourlinkhere.com">Privacy Policy</a>
