assiniboineParticipantI am trying to open and make changes to the theme settings. When I go to Appearance > Customize > it does not load and all that comes up is a white screen.
Please advise.

Andrew MisplonKeymasterHi assiniboine
Sorry to hear about the hassle. A white screen Customizer is usually a plugin conflict or a PHP memory shortage. Start by temporarily deactivating all plugins and test the Customizer, does it fix the issue? If so, reactivate your plugins one by one, test the Customizer after each activation.

assiniboineParticipantThanks for the quick response! I have gone through the plugins and it doesn’t seem to be a certain one, but just the amount. Any other suggestions?

Andrew MisplonKeymasterSure 🙂
Sounds like a memory shortage. Not an uncommon problem in WordPress. You can sort this out yourself if you’re ok working with a bit of code. However, the easiest is to ask your host to make this change for you.

Question for your hosts would be: Please, could you increase the PHP memory available to my WordPress installation to 256, or whatever the max is you can offer.

assiniboineParticipantThanks! I’ll give that a try.
