jfcyrParticipantHello
Our original web site is in English and I am working on the French translation, but I cannot seem to find a way to have a different footer for my French translated site.
I am using WPML.
I am using a simple SiteOrigin Editor in the footer and any change I do in Appearance/Widget/Footer is visible for both languages as if there was only on footer for both languages.
Can you helpJune 7, 2017 at 3:46 pm #6914
Andrew MisplonKeymasterHi jfcyr
Does WPML not have a way of conditionally displaying widgets per language? I haven’t tested this feature of WPML before so I’m not sure. If WPML doesn’t have this built in then you can perhaps try something like: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpml-widgets/.

jfcyrParticipantWPML Widget plugin works like a charm.
I guess that if that plugin exist it is probably because WPML does not feature a “language aware” widget manager…
Thanks for the helpJune 7, 2017 at 8:45 pm #6916
Andrew MisplonKeymasterSuper 🙂 Glad to hear the extra plugin did the trick. Thanks for letting us know. All the best with your site.
