Andrew MisplonKeymasterHi Fen
Sorry this is taking so long! The following is what I see in my demo:
Layout
Is the above image the layout you want?
Sticky
Do you have the sticky header enabled? If so, what layout do you want to see when the header becomes sticky?
Child Theme
Any chance you could send through a zipped copy of your child theme? If you work a little with FTP or your Hosting File Manager then this is relatively quick, if not then it could be a mission.
You can find your child theme on your server at /wp-content/themes/ultra-child and could email it me on [email protected].
Thanks 🙂

FenParticipanthi Andrew,
Yes that what I want to set for the logo.
I am using sticky Header, When the header becomes sticky, just show Title or title+tagline should be ok.
I am using the same child theme that you created for Ric, with the modification base on your last solution.
Thanks you so much for your help, appreciate that. Thanks and Regards,
Fen

Andrew MisplonKeymasterPlease could we try this child theme:
https://purothemes.com/main/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/ultra-child-fen-special.zip
Download the ZIP to your desktop.
Appearance > Themes, switch back to Ultra parent.
Hover over Ultra child, click Theme Details, then Delete in the bottom right corner.
Appearance > Themes > Add New: Upload Theme > ActivateThis is assuming that the only additions you made to the child theme were the logo/menu proportions. I’ve included those in the child theme style.css file.
Thanks 🙂

FenParticipantHi Andrew,
Many thanks for the child theme, its amazing, it work.
Look like the plug-in custom CSS prevent it reading from style.css from the child theme.
So after copy all the content to custom CSS, it work now.
Thanks you so much for your amazing support. Thanks and Regards,
Fen

rictansParticipantHi Andrew,
I had to leave this forum for a few days… and am glad you’ve got Fen problem all sorted out. For me, it hasn’t worked out just yet.
All I would like is a Logo to the left of the Site Title. The Tag Line can be underneath both.
I have just tried the child theme zip and its not working.I have created a subdirectory of “ultra-child” under “ultra”. And in the ultra-child directory, I have put in style.css, header.php and functions.php.
I have also put in:.site-header .site-branding h1.site-title:first-of-type { float: left; margin-right: 25px;}
.site-header .site-branding h1.site-title + a { float: left;}In Simple Custom CSS just to be sure… from what Fen said regarding that if you have Simple Custom CSS the child style.css is ignored.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
RicMay 26, 2015 at 3:05 am #1613
rictansParticipantUpdate:
I’ve reinstalled your child theme and now I do see both the Site Title and the Logo… but its Site Title first (meaning left of) then the Logo on the right side.
I would like Logo first then Site Title. I guess you just have to swap something around.
Thanks Andrew.

rictansParticipantUpdate:
And I am using the floating header. Floating header is only showing the Logo. Please have it match the header: Logo + Site Title
Thanks.May 26, 2015 at 3:18 am #1617
rictansParticipantUpdate: I am not able to change the color of the Site Title… please advise.
Thanks.

rictansParticipantHi Andrew,
With our time zone difference I went ahead and tried a few things… the last thing I done was use Fen’s child theme. It works for me with the exception of two things:
1. The floating header does not have the logo left of the Site Title.
2. I cannot change the color of the Site Title. These two item are mentioned in the two posts before this one.
Thank you,
Ric.May 26, 2015 at 5:58 am #1619
rictansParticipantHi Andrew,
I would like to use Times New Roman for the Site Title font.
Thanks again,
RicMay 26, 2015 at 10:29 am #1621
Andrew MisplonKeymasterHi Ric
Please try this new/adapted child theme:
https://purothemes.com/main/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/ultra-child-ric-02.zip
Switch to Ultra parent, delete Ultra child and install the new ZIP from Appearance > Themes > Add New: Upload Theme.
With the child theme installed you’ll see the custom styles we’re using at Appearance > Editor > style.css.
(Things didn’t work earlier because the child theme folder needs to be stored in the same directory as the parent theme folder. They are both stored at /wp-content/themes.)
Let me know how it goes 🙂

rictansParticipantHi…
The site title appears twice when I dont use the logo. Something like this:
SiteTitle SiteTitle
Tag lineLooks proper with use of logo:
LOGO SiteTitle
Tag lineFYI: This is happening when I am using your latest child theme.

Andrew MisplonKeymasterHi Ric
Thanks for the update.
I would expect this to happen. In the header we have the regular logo function, that outputs the site title if no logo has been added. We added an additional site title to the header. If no logo is added we we’ll land up with two site titles. Will you not be using the logo field?
