Andrew MisplonKeymasterHi Delphine
Thanks for reaching out.
Theme files are overwritten each time the theme is updated so unless you’re using a child theme it’s best to not edit the core theme files. You can use a plugin like Insert Headers and Footers to insert tags into the head or footer.

fifParticipantThanks, I will try the plugin and if it is not suffiscient I shall go to the child theme.

Andrew MisplonKeymasterSounds good. You can also use a plugin like Code Snippets if you research the function to be used. For Analytics, I’ve documented the appropriate function at the following URL: https://purothemes.com/documentation/general-wordpress/adding-google-analytics/.

fifParticipantHi Andrew, I have put the plugin as you said and inserted the script in the header. It is a script for a sign-up form from mailchimp on the website.
Il should appear nearly straight away on the website, don’t you think ?March 17, 2020 at 4:50 pm #14134
fifParticipantPlugin used Insert Headers and footers

Andrew MisplonKeymasterIssues might be that you’ve saved the snippet but haven’t published it or perhaps you’re using a caching plugin and it isn’t showing because you need to clear your site’s cache or perhaps your browser cache.
Are you checking for the snippet by inspecting your site’s source code?
