Placing item above posts on blog home page

On analysisbranch.com, I want to place a text or html block above my posts on the home page. I understand how to use siteorigin for that on other pages, but can’t figure how to do that on the home page. Advice welcome.

Hi Dave

Thanks for reaching out. At Settings > Reading, deselect your Posts page. Then on your blog page, insert a Post Loop widget to display your posts which will allow you to display content above or below the loop.
