Sure, please, can you go a page back on the forum and check out the challenge I was facing regarding the initial login form.February 17, 2017 at 9:24 pm #5966
Please, see the screenshot I posted on the previous page. This is a hosting created form that protects the WordPress admin area. You won’t see this once you’ve used it once. If you try access your admin area from another browser or from a private browsing window, you’ll see it.February 17, 2017 at 9:51 pm #5967
when I got to aliatempora.com/wp-admin from a private browser, I got this:February 17, 2017 at 9:54 pm #5968
Please, reach out to your hosts and ask them if they can assist with the login details we’re chatting about. You can send them the screenshot I posted on page one of our topic to assist in the request. Thanks.February 17, 2017 at 9:59 pm #5969February 17, 2017 at 10:03 pm #5970
I need to access WP to try and assist further. There is a hosting level login form that’s blocking my access. I recognise you’re not getting this form but I am. There isn’t anything I can change locally to get around this form. This form is setup in your hosting admin panel, it’s a common hosting level protection for the WP login form. My suggestion is to contact/email/call your hosting company and ask them how to retrieve the details (username and password) for this form:February 17, 2017 at 10:05 pm #5971February 17, 2017 at 10:08 pm #5972
Alternatively, search your hosting company documentation. For example: https://za.godaddy.com/help/password-protecting-a-directory-in-your-shared-hosting-account-4057. Those steps would let you know how a password like this was set and therefore how to roll it back/undo it.February 17, 2017 at 10:09 pm #5973February 17, 2017 at 10:12 pm #5974
Thanks, that doesn’t work, unfortunately.April 13, 2017 at 4:05 pm #6289
I ve been out for a month, and when I finally get back to this topic, my server host provider told me, that the extra protection you ve been struggeling with can be solved by this access:
