I cant seem to change the default images that it comes with. Can you please take a look and let me know what I should do. You can see I tried to add in my own slider and it is just underneath the slider that the theme comes with.

Andrew MisplonKeymasterHi goodfellastacos
Thanks for giving Ultra a try. Sorry, I wasn’t able to reply earlier, glad to hear you made progress. Thanks for keeping the thread updated. The Ultra Meta Slider documentation, unfortunately, isn’t published yet. I’ll briefly run through it here, just in case anyone else reads.
To replace the home slider with your own and to insert a slider on any page using the right column page slider drop down menu, you need to install Meta Slider: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ml-slider/. With Meta Slider installed, click on the Meta Slider link in your main WordPress menu. From there you can add your first slider. Any sliders created within Meta Slider will become available at Appearance > Theme Settings > Home Slider and on any page at the Page Meta Slider box, found in the right column.
In the slider demo, I’ve used a background image that is 1200 x 480 and set the Stretch Slider setting to enabled. Meta Slider only adds layering abilities in the premium version. However in Ultra it’s possible to add a second image to each slide by pasting the image URL in the slide caption field. The demo slider uses this method to add it’s text overlay layer.
If you need help with anything further, please let me know.

David MalmbergParticipantHi, I’m wondering if goodfellastacos created his own slider or was able to edit the Demo slider? What I notice is that in the /wp-content/themes/ultra/slider/backgrounds folder there were 4 files. 2 were the background images and 2 were text overlays. I swapped those files out but the demo slider still shows the original images. Is it possible to edit the Demo Slider? I’ve create my own but I have to embed any text into the image as I can’t figure out how you got the text to overlay the images. Can you tell me your secrets?
Thanks!

Andrew MisplonKeymasterHi David
Thanks for reaching out.
Ultra’s documentation is finally out. You can find it here: https://purothemes.com/documentation/ultra-theme/
The documentation page on Meta Slider can be found here: https://purothemes.com/documentation/ultra-theme/meta-slider/.
Let me know if anything isn’t clear in the documentation and I’ll do my best to improve it.
The demo slider unfortunately isn’t editable but easy to replicate using the Meta Slider plugin. Hopefully the second link above has the answers you’ve been looking for.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks
