KennyNParticipantHi, I am building a proof of concept website for a client and they have just introduced a possible requirement for making the site Multi-lingual at some point. Would Polestar be able to work natively with these addons? As a 1st step I have looked at this article as an example of what may be appropriate.
https://wpbuffs.com/language-translator-wordpress-plugins-for-multilingual-website/
I am unable to test this on the translation plugins examples as the site does not have a published domain yet.Other relevant details:
The site is being built using one of the Bluehost packages and SiteOrigin page builder.August 19, 2019 at 9:08 am #13057
Andrew MisplonKeymasterHi Kenny
Thanks for posting.
Any plugin can be used for Polestar but for Page Builder by SiteOrigin we recommend using either Polylang or WPML for your multi-language functionality. Polylang is free.
Loco Translate is mentioned in the post you’ve linked to. That’s also a plugin I’d recommend using but not for multi-language functionality, it’s for translating theme and plugin strings. So say your theme has English words embedded and you need the entire site to be Spanish, that’s where Loco Translate comes in.
I don’t have any experience with auto-translation so I, unfortunately, can’t offer feedback in that area.
