IanParticipantHi I am using your Polestar theme but not as a blog but as a theme design for my site. The desktop version works and looks great but the mobile version has a problem in that I cannot get rid of the blog area just below the heading. How do I do this? You can see my new site at new.sugarhousesound.rocks/wp
Thanks for any help you can give.May 30, 2018 at 4:17 pm #9925
Andrew MisplonKeymasterHi Ian
I’m not seeing any mention of blog on mobile.
The site isn’t loading Polestar on mobile. The header, menu, search and option to change to desktop is all being delivered from a plugin or third party service. If you’d like the theme to render content normally for mobile, try and find that plugin or service and disable it.

IanParticipantThanks Andrew and indeed I did have a plugin for the mobile site. I removed it and am now not seeing how to customize Polestar on mobile. How do I adjust the settings and where? Thanks. Ian

Andrew MisplonKeymasterHi Ian
What are you looking to adjust? The theme is responsive but there isn’t a second of settings for mobile.

IanParticipantJust checked the site on my mobile and looks OK so removing the plugin has done the job. However, it seems the mobile version is automatically produced from the desktop theme. Is there any way you can customize it? Thanks.

Andrew MisplonKeymasterGlad you’re making progress 🙂
What you’re seeing now is how most/all WordPress themes are. No extra steps, no additional content. This is what the industry means when they talk about responsive design, there isn’t a desktop or mobile version, there is just one version that handles different screen sizes through responsive design.
When you say customize it, I’m not sure what you’re looking to change. Do you want to change the content or design features or theme settings?
Here are some plugin options I know of:
Jetpack Mobile Theme:

IanParticipantThanks Andrew and indeed I have both of those plugins installed but now not activated. I think I am good at the moment but really appreciate your help and prompt service. Will speak to my client to ensure they are happy. Ian

Andrew MisplonKeymasterFor sure.
In terms of Page Builder by SiteOrigin content you can set in row settings, the collapse order.
In Polestar Premium you can set the mobile menu collapse point.
Here is a way of setting mobile menu only links:So it just depends on what you’re after. Above are a few small ideas for possible tasks.
