ReidParticipantHello – I am trying to integrate the Time.ly calendar plugin on my website but recieve 404 errors when the event is clicked on in the calendar (see test event on http://ultraschall-training.eu/en/calendar/). I’ve been searching for a solution and it seems that Time.ly conflicts with some themes (http://time.ly/document/user-guide/troubleshooting/styling-event-details-page-show/). Does Ultra Premium support custom post types? Do you have any advise as to how this can be resolved? Thank you so much for your help and advise. – Reid

Andrew MisplonKeymasterHi Reid
The post in question on time.ly’s site is talking about template hierarchy and the styling it provides. Ultra’s template hierarchy does support custom post types. Try going to
Settings > Permalinks
and clicking Save, does the event page still go to 404? If so, try switching to a default theme like Twenty Sixteen, does the same 404 error occur?October 27, 2016 at 3:59 pm #5416
ReidParticipantThanks Andrew – Yes, I’ve tried going to Settings > Permalinks and clicking save, but unfortunately it doesn’t not resolve the issue. So then a follow up question for you. If I switch to the Twenty Sixteen default them to see if there is the same error, and then switch back to Ultra, will this loose information or affect what I’ve done so far on the multi-lingual site? I’m learning all this as I go, and I really, really don’t want to mess anything up. Thanks! – Reid

Andrew MisplonKeymasterSure. No data will ever be lost when switching themes. Your content is stored in the database. The activated theme won’t have any impact on content. Let me know how it goes.

ReidParticipantAndrew – Well that’s good to know. I’m sure very basic knowledge for most, but I appreciate the helpful advice. Just tried switching to the twenty sixteen template and am still getting the 404 error, so I guess that I may need to find another calendar plugin solution. I really appreciate you trying to trouble shoot this with me. – Reid

Andrew MisplonKeymasterThanks for trying. Other steps would be to test with Twenty Sixteen and all plugins deactivated. You could also try testing with demo data if they offer any.

Andrew MisplonKeymasterYou could also give https://wordpress.org/plugins/events-manager/ a try.
