I’m trying to display images correctly on my homepage in metaslider. I’ve tried turning off the stretch options in the theme settings and the metaslider settings. I’ve tried to edit the original image sizes in photoshop but I still can’t get my images to display correctly. I’m fairly new to wordpress so apologies for my lack of expertise.Currently my meta slider is set to flex slider with dimensions 1200 x 450px. I have three images in the slider with dimensions 865 x 480, 1180 × 812 and 1180 × 801. The image height is appearing taller than I want. I’ve tried to change the slider height dimensions but no change. I’ve tried to reduce my image height even smaller but still not working only reduced quality. Even though i’ve turned off all stretch options is it still stretching the image to fit the width. Any ideas?

It would be best if your slider dimensions weren’t set to a width and height greater than your smallest image. That would prevent distortion.

I tried clicking the smart crop and it looks better. I changed the metaslider height to 500 so now the mets slider window displays fully on my screen. The images themselves are being cropped and not displaying the full image. Should I modify the images in photoshop first to a size similar to the meta slider dimensions or is there another way to do this?
