AprilParticipantHi,
I ran a site audit and it looks like the posts for the ultra theme are automatically made ‘noindex’ links. I have added the Yoast SEO plugin to try to change them to dofollow links, but the audit is now reading the post links as follow and noindex. How do I remove the noindex from the site posts?
Thanks,

Andrew MisplonKeymasterHi April
Thanks for reaching out 🙂
The meta robots tag isn’t set by the theme. Try checking
Settings > Reading > Search Engine Visibility

AprilParticipantI just looked and ‘Discourage search engines from indexing this site’ isn’t checked. Is there some sort of code to remove the ‘noindex’ tag? It is only on blog posts for some reason, not pages.
Thanks,

Andrew MisplonKeymasterIdeally you’d need to work out how the tag is being added.
To rule out Ultra, temporarily switch to a default theme like Twenty Seventeen and check the issue.
SEO related plugins have control over the meta robots tag. That’s where I’d recommend looking.
