We are using the Meta Slider plugin for imagery above the content on our home page. It does not appear that the Meta Slider plugin will play .gifs. Is that true? Or is there a setting that allows them to play?

I took a quick look around but don’t see a related setting. Unfortunately, this isn’t a task I’ve tackled in the past. You could perhaps open a support topic on the Meta Slider forum, hopefully, they’ll be able to lend a hand https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/ml-slider/.
