kevindParticipantI acquired the premium version, set up my site, and noticed something odd.
The main blog page shows the title of every post. However, if you click through to a particular post’s page, the title isn’t there. Just a header bar with date, author, and comment; then the body of the post.
I went through all the theme settings but couldn’t find one that seemed promising. Any ideas on how to make sure the post title appears at the top of that post’s page?
Thanks!

Andrew MisplonKeymasterThanks for the links 🙂 Please, head over to
Appearance > Customize > Theme Design > Content Header
and set theHeading Color
to white or your preferred text color. The text and background colors are the same at the moment.October 24, 2016 at 8:28 pm #5372
kevindParticipantIs there any way to get it to show up exactly like in the main Blog page? I had made the text and background identical because I wanted that ribbon at the top.

Andrew MisplonKeymasterUnfortunately, there isn’t a way to move the single post title out of its current content header position and into the post body where you’d like it. If you’d like we can look at making this change with a child theme but it will involve importing your current Customizer settings after the child theme has been installed. We don’t formally offer customizations like this but I can have a quick go at the single layout you’re after (tomorrow).

kevindParticipantThat would be extremely appreciated!

Andrew MisplonKeymasterHi Kevin
You can give this child theme a try: https://purothemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/ultra-child-kevin.zip. Download the ZIP. Install from
Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme > Activate
. All Customizer settings will reset. You can reset your menu to the primary menu location fromAppearance > Menus
or the Customizer. You can use this plugin to import all of your Theme Settings and Theme Design settings from the parent theme: https://wordpress.org/plugins/customizer-export-import/
Hope that helps.

kevindParticipantSo I installed the child theme and imported the previous settings. That all seemed to have worked. Thanks!
However, the background of the new customized blog post title on individual blog post pages is pulling its background color from the Content Header instead of the Page Background.
See for instance:
Is there any way to pull it from Page Background?
October 25, 2016 at 10:11 pm #5384
kevindParticipantOK, I figured this out. I once understood CSS. The child theme is using a stylesheet that tries to set background: none. However, this is getting overridden inline for some reason. So I changed the stylesheet to background: none !important. That seems to work.
If there’s potentially something bad about this solution, let me know. Otherwise, thanks so much for your help!

Andrew MisplonKeymasterPerfect 🙂 Thanks for finishing that up.
