I don’t believe this plugin works out the box: https://wordpress.org/plugins/categories-images/. Check the instructions there.
I’ve prepared a child theme for you that adds the archive description and compatibility for this plugin. Assuming you haven’t added anything to your child theme you can switch back to Puro Premium, delete Puro Child and install:
https://purothemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/puro-child-anna-01.zip
