    Hi Philip

    Thanks for your support, glad to hear you’re finding Ultra useful.

    Footer widgets can be added from Appearance > Widgets > Footer. The footer will automatically split into columns as widgets are added. Two widgets will equal two columns etc.

    Below the footer is the bottom bar. You can control your site’s copyright text from Appearance > Theme Settings > Footer. You can also set a social links menu if you’d like to display icons to your social network profiles. Apologies for the documentation not being ready. Puro, my first theme uses the same social links menu so you can check the docs for it here if you’re interested: http://purothemes.com/documentation/puro-theme/social-menu/.

    In the above thread we worked through some color customisations. Most of the code provided was CSS. You can add your own CSS by using a plugin like Simple Custom CSS: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/. Remember that all WordPress themes overwrite themselves during theme updates so it’s best not to make any changes via Appearance > Editor under normal circumstances.

    If you’d like to create a new topic at the bottom of this page: http://purothemes.com/support/forum/ultra-theme/ and perhaps let me know what footer aspects you need a hand with, I’ll be sure to jump in ASAP.

    Thanks.

    For sure, glad to hear you made progress. All of the CSS we’ve added to Custom CSS should be able to be deleted after the next upgrade. Let me know if anything else comes up.

    Cheers for now.

    Hi Willem

    Good to hear from you. I nearly have 0.9.4 ready, apologies for the delay.

    I’ll take another look at this and come back to you and Matt ASAP. Looking around now, I think the most logical solution would be to identify items near the end of the menu and drop them down to the left and not the right. An example of this in action can be seen here: http://jsfiddle.net/bw7k3yee/4/.

    We could also apply a maximum width to the drop down menu, that would force long items onto two lines though. I’m not sure that’s favourable.

    Chat further tomorrow.

    (Thanks so much for the back link, that’s very kind of you 🙂 )

    Thanks Matt. The above reply was private, if you log out you’ll see so. I’ll introduce a little design element so we can easily see which replies are private when logged in.

    I’ve made some changes to Custom CSS. Please check now and let me know where we stand on the bugs we’re looking at. Thanks.

    If you’d like, send through a link to your site. I’ll inspect the page source and see if the Custom CSS is there. There is a private reply checkbox at the bottom of the comment field if you’d like to keep your site url to just us.

    Hi Matt

    Good to hear from you again. Hopefully our chats previously have helped progress in other areas.

    Please remember not to use Appearance > Editor unless you’re making use of a child theme. All WordPress themes completely overwrite themselves during update. Ultra will have an update out very soon.

    If you’re using Page Builder and making use of the Edit Row > Layout > Row Layout > Full Width Stretched option, you will unfortunately lose the regular content container padding left and right as you’re breaking out of that container. I’ll take a look at this moving forward. For now, I’d recommend trying the following in your Custom CSS plugin:

    /* SiteOrigin Page Builder Full Width Stretched Rows Widget Padding */

    .siteorigin-panels-stretch .panel-grid-cell:first-of-type .widget {
    	padding-left: 25px;
    }

    .siteorigin-panels-stretch .panel-grid-cell:last-of-type .widget {
    	padding-right: 25px;
    }

    .siteorigin-panels-stretch .panel-grid-cell:only-of-type .widget {
    	padding-left: 25px;
    	padding-right: 25px;
    }

    Let me know how that goes.

    Hi dniles

    Thanks for reaching out and giving Ultra a try.

    I’ll have colour customisation options out ASAP. For now we could set those using Custom CSS. If you already make use of Jetpack, go to Jetpack > Settings and activate Custom CSS. If you’re not using Jetpack then I recommend using a plugin called Simple Custom CSS:

    Simple Custom CSS

    With your Custom CSS plugin of choice activated, go to Appearance > Custom CSS or Appearance > Edit CSS (Jetpack) and add the following:

    /* Top Bar */

    #top-bar {
      background: #313539;
    }

    /* Header */

    .site-header {
      background: #fff;
    }

    /* Main Page Slider */

    #main-slider {
      background: #f6f6f7;
    }

    There you can change the colour values to the one’s you need for your customisation. If you need help finding out the hexadecimal colour code required, just shout.

    Hope that helps. Let me know how you come along.

    Hi goodfellastacos

    Thanks for giving Ultra a try. Sorry, I wasn’t able to reply earlier, glad to hear you made progress. Thanks for keeping the thread updated. The Ultra Meta Slider documentation, unfortunately, isn’t published yet. I’ll briefly run through it here, just in case anyone else reads.

    To replace the home slider with your own and to insert a slider on any page using the right column page slider drop down menu, you need to install Meta Slider: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ml-slider/. With Meta Slider installed, click on the Meta Slider link in your main WordPress menu. From there you can add your first slider. Any sliders created within Meta Slider will become available at Appearance > Theme Settings > Home Slider and on any page at the Page Meta Slider box, found in the right column.

    In the slider demo, I’ve used a background image that is 1200 x 480 and set the Stretch Slider setting to enabled. Meta Slider only adds layering abilities in the premium version. However in Ultra it’s possible to add a second image to each slide by pasting the image URL in the slide caption field. The demo slider uses this method to add it’s text overlay layer.

    If you need help with anything further, please let me know.

    Hi savio982

    Thanks for giving Ultra a try 🙂 Page Builder supports full width stretched rows. To make use of this functionality, edit any row by clicking the wrench icon on the far right > Edit Row > Row Layout and set the drop down menu to Full Width Stretched.

    I’ve made a quick video covering these steps. It’s my first ever public screencast, so not exactly a polished product 🙂 Hopefully it helps explain this Page Builder functionality.

    Sound is unfortunately quite soft so please turn your volume up to hear.

    You can also find the SiteOrigin documentation on this topic here: https://siteorigin.com/page-builder/documentation/styling-page/. Scroll down to the Row Layout heading.

    Hi Matt

    Thanks for giving Ultra a try and reaching out with this feedback. I think I’ve resolved the problem and have included in the fix in the next version which I’ll release ASAP.

    In the mean time you could hotfix as follows; first download a Custom CSS plugin if you don’t have one installed already. I quite like Simple Custom CSS: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/. To avoid plugin bloat, first check if you are using Jetpack. If you are, rather go to Jetpack > Settings and activate Custom CSS, that way you won’t need another plugin.

    With one of the above Custom CSS plugins ready, proceed to Appearance > Custom CSS (Custom CSS) or Appearance > Edit CSS (Jetpack) and insert the following:

    /* Paragraphs: Can remove after Ultra 0.9.4 */
    p {
        white-space:pre;
        white-space:pre-wrap;
        white-space:pre-line;
        white-space:-pre-wrap;
        white-space:-o-pre-wrap;
        white-space:-moz-pre-wrap;
        white-space:-hp-pre-wrap;
        word-wrap:break-word
    }

    Give that a try and let me know how it goes.

    If you run into another challenges, please let me know. You’re also welcome to ask me about anything Page Builder or SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle related.
