    In summary, if any template files and/or footer.php are present in your child theme we need to make a very small change.

    Hi Xavier

    IE
    Sorry to hear about the hassle. No need for the IE legacy child theme. Those changes are included in Ultra 1.0.2 which is live. I’ll release the premium update a bit later today. Ultra 2.0.2.

    Give me a couple of mins. I’ll look into the IE issue for you on another computer.

    Upcoming update
    The upcoming 2.0.2 update might affect your child theme. Can you let me know, which files do you currently have in your child theme? Could you send a list? Thanks 🙂

    Hi Mark

    Thanks for your support 🙂

    Can we try another solution? Try my idea out and see how you feel about it.

    1. Restore footer.php to its original state.
    2. Go to Appearance > Theme Settings > Footer > Copyright Text.
    3. This field can parse HTML so let’s try inserting your extra HTML here. Insert:

    Insight Angle LLC. All rights reserved.<br />
    <!-- HTML for the site lock goes here -->

    Let me know how that goes.

    Hi Mark

    There are a few ways. The easiest solution is to use the following great plugin:

    Adding Menu Icons

    It’s one of my favourites, I’m sure you’ll enjoy using it too.

    Hi Mark

    Thanks for your support. Sorry we weren’t able to reply any sooner. Thanks for the long wait.

    Here is the error that is outputted into the browser console:

    www.insightangle.biz/:1 Font from origin 'http://www.insightsangle.com' has been blocked from loading by Cross-Origin Resource Sharing policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'http://www.insightangle.biz' is therefore not allowed access.

    Cross-Origin Resource Sharing policy, the challenge here is that hosts don’t allow assets like webfonts, to be stored at another location. David Walsh covers a possible solution here: http://davidwalsh.name/cdn-fonts. Perhaps reach out to your hosts and see if they can assist with the fix David describes in his post.

    Hey Paul

    A quick follow-up to see how things are going on your side. Let me know when you have time, I’m keen to get your challenge resolved.

    Ultra 1.0.2 is in the WordPress.org update queue. As part of my initial WooCommerce integration there is a crucial change that will affect all child themes. I’m going to do my best to notify everyone on every support thread regarding child themes that I can access. The change is simple but wide reaching. In every template file there was previously a div closure for the container class:

    </div><!-- .container -->

    That closure must now be moved to footer.php where is should have always been. That’s my bad.

    If you have template files in your child theme or footer.php, a change will need to happen. I’m standing by to assist anyone that needs help with this. I don’t mind doing the change if I get sent a link to the child theme in use.

    Chat soon.

    Apologies. Glad to see you found the correct selector.

    Custom CSS comes after the theme’s stylesheet so it takes precedence, effectively overwriting the rule in question.

    Hi Vincent

    A quick reminder; all WordPress.org themes completely overwrite their own folder during theme updates. Changing any files via Appearance > Editor is to be avoided. Any changes there will be lost if you ever run a theme update.

    Appearance > Custom CSS using a Custom CSS plugin is a safe way to add CSS snippets.

    Try this change at Appearance > Custom CSS. Insert the following:

    /* Header */

    .site-header .site-branding img {
    	max-height: 92px;
    }

    Adjust as required.

    With a little more content on a page this section won’t be visible. It looks I might be missing a CSS selector in the Customizer. Apologies for the hassle.

    Do you have a Custom CSS plugin installed? If so, please, go to Appearance > Custom CSS and insert:

    /* Body */

    body {
        background: #cc2ebc;
    }

    If you don’t have a Custom CSS plugin installed, go to Plugins > Add New and use the search bar, search for SiteOrigin CSS. Install and activate.

    Unfortunately, no luck on my side either. Let’s wait for this feature to get fixed. I’m sure it’ll get resolved in the next few weeks. You could perhaps try out this thread in the mean time:

    Hi Stefan

    Thanks for reaching out.

    I know there have been issues with the library deployed in this feature and there are plans to improve it soon. I haven’t tested yet. I’ll jump in tomorrow and take a look. I’ll report back as soon as I have some info to send.

    Chat then 🙂

    Hi Vincent 🙂

    Thanks for reaching out.

    There are, unfortunately, no colour controls in the free version of Ultra. In the event you want to continue using Ultra free and only need to change one or two things, we can help using Custom CSS snippets.

    Ultra Premium has colour controls for all site elements. Once activated it adds a new section to Appearance > Customize called “Theme Design. You can see what is added in this section by checking the following documentation section.

    If you’d like to consider the premium offering, please, head over to Appearance > Ultra Premium.

    If there is anything else we can assist with, please, let me know.

    (Your English is great, no worries there.)

    Hi Xavier

    Thanks for your feedback. It’s most appreciated. I’ll keep this one in the book for now, it’s a little more than I’m able to take on for the moment.

    Not sure how you’re sending newsletters right now. MailChimp would be our recommend third-party provider and https://www.mailpoet.com/ our recommended option if you wanted to stay within WordPress.

    Unfortunately, it’s a limitation of both the Ultra full width method and the native Meta Slider method. Sorry. Wish I had more for you. Let’s try a wide image that’s the same or greater than your screen/average resolution. It should help.
