    Thanks for diving in. What we should have asked your hosts is to confirm those files are there (they are) and then ask them why they are returning a 404 not found error in the browser. Apologies. That would have been the way to phrase the question.

    Here is a little info on why you’re seeing query strings appended to those urls:

    Ultra uses Icomoon:

    Icomoon appends query string parameters (everything after the ?, in this case -w9xgwa), to either distinguish the font you were served from others generated, or more likely, to break the cache when your font is updated. Your font when served to users is likely cached (so they don’t have to download it each time they view your page). Appending the query string, and changing it will cause the user agent to download it again.

    Ref: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/21683281/bulletproof-font-face-syntax-subtleties

    Although your hotfix works now, the files will unfortunately be overwritten in the next update and return to their previous state.

    I also work at SiteOrigin in a Support capacity. We’ve seen this problem come up with our own custom fonts a few times, each time it would seem that the host managed to resolve it. I unfortunately don’t have any further details on what steps they took.

    Hi amylynpace

    Thanks for your support.

    Please get in touch with your hosting company and let them know that your theme requires access to the following files:

    http://robinwaydairy.com/wp-content/themes/ultra/icons/fonts/ultra-icons.woff?-cu086y Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
    http://robinwaydairy.com/wp-content/themes/ultra/icons/fonts/ultra-icons.ttf?-cu086y Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)

    Some hosts block certain file types for security reasons. It’s usually a relatively quick process to get the Ultra font files un-blocked.

    Please find the social menu tutorial here: http://purothemes.com/documentation/general-wordpress/social-icons-menus/. There is a video at the bottom of the page if you’d like a quick visual run through.

    Looks like your doing great work with Custom CSS. If there is anything I can assist with, please let me know.

    Let me know how the icon challenge goes too.

    Hi ๐Ÿ™‚

    Quick update regarding the 0.9.4 update.

    Left Aligned Drop Down Menus

    Left aligned drop down menus are now a menu option. The method is listed at the link below. Not too much effort. You can choose which menus you’d like to drop down left.

    http://purothemes.com/documentation/ultra-theme/menu-locations/

    Iโ€™ve unfortunately missed something. I havenโ€™t reversed the left alignment for the responsive menu so if you do use this technique, please add the following to a Custom CSS plugin like Simple Custom CSS to correct:

    /* Remove after Ultra 0.9.5: Correct left aligned drop down menus in the responsive menu */
    .responsive-menu .main-navigation.toggled ul li.left ul {
      text-align: left;
    }

    I also included some helper styles for the My Book Table plugin you’re using.

    Hi Joop

    Glad to hear you made progress on the drop downs.

    I’m afraid you’ve raised a weakness of the current mobile menu. It’s something I’ll need to try improve on moving forward.

    I don’t have a JavaScript hotfix but I could perhaps try help with Custom CSS. We could make the font smaller of the sub menu items on mobile or perhaps we could hide them. OR I could look into creating a child theme and allowing you to add a new menu, one that would display just for mobile.

    I don’t mind helping out on this one. Let me know what you think might work best and we’ll go from there.

    Hi Joop

    Thanks again for your support.

    Left Aligned Drop Down Menus

    I’ve tested out the left aligned drop down menus again and they seem to be working correctly in my demo. I’ve added a demo video to the instructions, perhaps you can double-check your setup:

    http://purothemes.com/documentation/ultra-theme/menu-locations/

    I’ve unfortunately missed something. I haven’t reversed the left alignment for the responsive menu so if you do use this technique, please add the following to a Custom CSS plugin like Simple Custom CSS to correct:

    /* Remove after Ultra 0.9.5: Correct left aligned drop down menus in the responsive menu */
    .responsive-menu .main-navigation.toggled ul li.left ul {
      text-align: left;
    }

    Responsive Menu Collapse

    I’m unfortunately not able to replicate the bug you’re seeing. Please could you check what collapse point you have set at Appearance > Theme Settings > Navigation > Responsive Menu Collapse and if possible, explain a bit further what you’re seeing.

    Thanks again ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi AJR

    Great to have you with us, thanks for reaching out.

    I tried to re-create this now but unfortunately wasn’t successful. If I could inspect the button, that would be awesome. We could perhaps arrange a 2min window when we’re both online, you could perhaps drop maintenance mode and I’ll quickly inspect the button and source code to see what’s up.

    Alternatively, there is a private reply checkbox when posting. You could create a temporary user account and send through the info.

    Or finally, you could mail those same details to support@purothemes.com if that works better.

    Let me know and we’ll go from there.

    Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi Matt

    Great to hear from you. I am indeed. No action is required, if you upgrade Ultra will be registered as the affiliated theme. Meta Slider Pro adds a host of new features as well as premium support from their team. The ability to add and transition layers is super nice to have.

    (If however, you’d like to make use of Revolution, Layer, Smart or any of the other commercial sliders out there, I’m more than happy to help you integrate it, using a child theme, into the same position that Meta Slider is currently positioned.)

    Let me know if there is anything I can assist with.

    Hi artvaz

    Thanks for reaching out and for giving Ultra a try. Really glad to hear it’s proving useful for your project.

    I’ve got an update on the way that will introduce the opacity controls you’re looking for, the controls that should already there ๐Ÿ™‚

    Just a quick reminder that I send out regularly; all WordPress themes completely overwrite themselves when updating. To keep your CSS changes upgrade safe it’s important to not make any edits via Appearance > Editor. Inserting your Custom CSS into a plugin like Simple Custom CSS is the way to go:

    Simple Custom CSS

    It looks like you’re running Vantage at the moment. That’s awesome, I’m sure you’ll also find it useful. If you need a hand with Vantage you can also find me over at the SiteOrigin forums, although we’re a little behind at the moment. Just in case you’d like to return to Ultra at some point, I’ll run through your questions below.

    Setting Header Opacity

    A theme setting is on the way. For now, header opacity can be set with:

    /* Site Header: Theme setting coming in 0.9.4 */
    .site-header {
      background: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.9);
    }

    The grey showing through is a problem I’ve fixed in the upcoming update. You can resolve by adding the following:

    /* Page Background Color: Can remove after 0.9.4 */
    #page {
      background: #fff;
    }

    Page Slider

    It’s possible to add a Meta Slider to any page, in the same position as the home page, using the Page Slider drop down. Edit any page and you’ll find it in the right column.

    For a full Meta Slider run through, please see the documentation here: http://purothemes.com/documentation/ultra-theme/meta-slider/.

    If you’re asking if you can instead insert the SiteOrigin Carousel widget in that same position…sure, I can help. It’ll require a little work though but I’m sure we can do it.

    Comments

    I’m not sure I hit all of your questions. If you decide to move back to Ultra, let me know and I’ll help out wherever possible.

    Awesome, glad that helped. A common challenge with updates can be browser or WordPress caching. If you’re running a caching plugin you’ll need to keep that in mind when making changes. A quick test is to open your browser in private browsing mode, that way you’ll be seeing an un-cached version of the site.

    Chat soon. Cheers.

    Ahh sorry, I see what you meant now. Please remove the Site Header section of Custom CSS and replace it as follows below.

    Let me know how it turns out.

    /* Top Bar Navigation */

    .top-bar-navigation ul ul {
    	border-top: 3px solid #0896fe;
    }

    .top-bar-navigation ul ul li:hover > a {
    	background: #0896fe;
    }

    .top-bar-navigation div > ul > li > a:hover {
      border-bottom: 3px solid #0896fe;
    }

    @media (max-width: 1224px) {
      .top-bar-navigation div > ul > li.menu-item-has-children > a:hover, .top-bar-navigation div > ul > li.page_item_has_children > a:hover {
        border-bottom: 3px solid #0896fe;
      }
    }

    /* Main Navigation */

    .main-navigation ul li:hover > a {
      color: #0896fe;
    }

    .main-navigation ul ul {
      border-top: 3px solid #0896fe;
    }

    .main-navigation ul ul li:hover > a {
      background: #0896fe;
    }

    .main-navigation ul ul .current_page_item > a,
    .main-navigation ul ul .current-menu-item > a,
    .main-navigation ul ul .current_page_ancestor > a {
      color: #0896fe;
    }

    .main-navigation .current_page_item > a,
    .main-navigation .current-menu-item > a,
    .main-navigation .current_page_ancestor > a {
      color: #0896fe;
    }

    .main-navigation div > ul > li > a:hover {
      border-bottom: 3px solid #0896fe;
    }

    .main-navigation .menu-search .search-icon:hover:before {
      color: #0896fe;
    }

    .main-navigation .menu-search .searchform input[name=s] {
      border-top: 3px solid #0896fe;
    }

    Sorry about that. I’m missing an opening bracket. Let’s try:

    @media (min-width: 1024px) {
    .home.header-overlap .site-header {
    background: rgba(28, 192, 230, 0.9);
    }
    }

    I’ll be online a bit later or tomorrow to resolve if you don’t come right. I’m on my phone so hopefully that formats correctly.

    Hi ๐Ÿ™‚ Good question for sure. At the moment doesn’t have a true full width content option. Meta Slider is introduced above the content container. Full width right now means, without sidebar. The good news is that Page Builder has a full width row layout option. To setup a Page Builder row as Full Width Stretched, click the wrench icon on the right of any row, click the Layout tab, click the Row Layout drop down and select Full Width Stretched.

    I went over this here: http://purothemes.com/support/topic/raws-full-lenght/ if you need more detail but chances are, the above is enough for you.

    Full Width Stretched Rows and Left Right Padding

    Breaking a row out of the content container means that there is no longer any left right padding. I’ve resolved this in 0.9.4. If you’d like to hotfix, please add:

    /* Page Builder Row Styles: Remove after Ultra 0.9.4 */

    .siteorigin-panels-stretch .panel-grid-cell:first-of-type .widget {
      padding-left: 1.78571em;
    }
    .siteorigin-panels-stretch .panel-grid-cell:last-of-type .widget {
      padding-right: 1.78571em;
    }
    .siteorigin-panels-stretch .panel-grid-cell:only-of-type .widget {
      padding-right: 1.78571em;
      padding-left: 1.78571em;
    }

    Hope that helps.
